GRAND PRIZE
Kyojin by Chris and Michael Mul

In 1942, during a fight for the Solomon Islands, a group of American and Japanese soldiers are forced to form an uneasy alliance to survive against a common, monstrous race of subterranean giants called the Kyojin, while grappling with the psychological trauma of war and the brutal realities of their situation.
The Mul Brothers—Chris & Michael Mul—are a British writing, directing, and producing duo behind Astral (Frank Dillane, Damson Idris) and the short film Selkie (Joanna Vanderham, Steven Cree). Alumni of the NYFA screenwriters’ fellowship, the brothers are award-winning screenwriters recognised by Final Draft & Austin Film Festival. They’re currently in pre-production on the true-survival feature Faster Than Horses (Ansel Elgort), produced by Bear Grylls, and are developing Lionheart with Tai Duncan at Biscuit Filmworks. They also founded the screenplay competition Writers By Writers.

Methfoot by Joseph Lint
When a helicopter crashes in the forest, a small group of men goes out to find it. But a chance happening upon the legendary Bigfoot quickly becomes a fight for their lives.
Joseph Lint is an award-winning screenwriter living in Southern California, with his wife and four children. Joseph studied screenwriting at UCLA and some of Joseph's his award-winning screenplays include, "The Villain," "Hacienda," "The General," “House Broken,” “The Happiest Moment,” and "The Suicide Diaries." Additionally, Joseph and his son, Hank, won an award for the short screenplay "Gold Diggers." When he is not writing, Joseph is one of the guitarists for the punk band, No Solution.

Night of the Purple Moon

Scott Cramer is a best-selling author of young adult dystopian novels and an optioned screenwriter. As an early riser, he starts each day writing stories that make people laugh, think, and feel. His work spans across science fiction, drama, and comedy.
A mysterious bacteria from a comet’s purple dust targets adults, forcing a determined teen to lead her siblings and friends on a dangerous quest for a cure, battling not only the deadly pandemic but also love, loss, and betrayal.

Gunslinger Izakaya

Liam Sherman graduated from Emory University where he studied film and screenwriting. Currently finishing his MFA at the prestigious American Film Institute as a Directing Fellow, he tirelessly produces original TV & feature film screenplays. In addition to the Script2Comic’s prestigious prize, he was also one of four finalists on the 2023 Disney Television Talent Showcase. With the completion of his first film (Of Masturbation and Men), and on the cusp of finishing his first novel, he is extremely excited for a future where he can comfortably write for a living and his family will no longer be worried about his career choice.
Set in the far unknown future in a brutal, archaic prison, a defiant prisoner uses his knowledge of ancient fighting techniques to orchestrate a complex escape, revealing a larger conspiracy and a hidden futuristic world beyond the prison walls.
